What is Telemedicine?
The Telemedicine module lets doctors run secure video consultations directly from the appointment screen. No separate telemedicine platform to log into — the video call launches from within the same HMS interface where the doctor manages their in-person patients. Consultations, notes, prescriptions and billing work exactly as they do for physical visits.
Telemedicine extends your hospital's reach to patients who cannot travel — follow-ups, post-operative checks, chronic disease management and second opinions. Remote consultations are fully documented and monetised just like in-person visits.
The module integrates with Jitsi (open-source, self-hosted) and Zoom. The video link is generated automatically and sent to the patient via WhatsApp and email. Patients join from their phone or computer with a single click.
