Web Attachment Limit Enhancement – Upload Files up to 100MB in Odoo
Odoo caps attachment uploads at 25MB by default, so larger files won’t upload even when your server has plenty of space. This module raises that binary-file limit from 25MB to 100MB, and if you need it higher still, the cap can be lifted by changing a single line. Store the bigger files your work actually requires.
What Does This Module Do?
This module increases Odoo’s attachment (binary file) upload limit from the default 25MB up to 100MB. Odoo enforces a size cap on files you upload as attachments, and by default that ceiling is 25MB – regardless of how much room is on your server. Installing this module raises that limit to 100MB so you can store larger files. And if 100MB still isn’t enough for your needs, the limit can be increased further by changing a single line in the module – or you can ask the author to do it for you.
Why Do You Need It?
Plenty of everyday business files are simply bigger than 25MB – high-resolution designs, scanned document bundles, presentations, videos, CAD files, large PDFs. When Odoo blocks those uploads, you’re forced into awkward workarounds: splitting files, compressing them until quality suffers, or storing them somewhere outside Odoo where they’re disconnected from the record they belong to. That’s frustrating and it fragments your data. The limitation is purely a configured cap, not a lack of space – so raising it lets you keep those larger files attached to the right records inside Odoo, where they’re easy to find and share. Lifting the ceiling to 100MB (or beyond) removes a needless obstacle and keeps everything in one place.
When Should You Use This Module?
This module is for anyone who needs to attach files larger than Odoo’s default 25MB limit. It’s useful for teams handling big design or media files, document-heavy workflows with large scanned bundles, or any business that has hit the “file too large” wall despite having server space to spare. If your people regularly work with files in the tens of megabytes and Odoo won’t let them upload, this raises the ceiling so they can. Because the maximum is adjustable, it also suits organisations that know they’ll need something even higher than 100MB.
How This Module Works in Practice
Once installed, the attachment limit is raised from 25MB to 100MB, so uploads that Odoo previously rejected go through. If you need a higher ceiling than 100MB, it’s a single-line change in the module to raise it further – or the author can make that adjustment for you. From then on, your team simply uploads the larger files they need, attached to the relevant records as usual. (As with any large-file storage, it’s worth making sure your server and any hosting limits can accommodate the sizes you plan to allow.)

Larger Uploads – the binary file limit raised from 25MB to 100MB
Key Benefits at a Glance
Bigger uploads: raises the attachment limit from 25MB to 100MB.
Adjustable ceiling: go higher than 100MB with a single-line change, or ask the author to set it.
Keep files in Odoo: store large files against their records instead of outside the system.
Uses the space you have: removes a configured cap, not a storage limitation.
