What is a Vendor Website?
A vendor website is an eCommerce site where pricing and ordering are reserved for a controlled group of business customers – your vendors, dealers, or wholesale partners – rather than being open to the general public. Anyone can visit and browse your products, but the moment prices and the ability to buy come into play, the site checks who is looking. Only customers who have logged in and been granted vendor access can see the price of a product and use the ‘Add to Cart’ button. To everyone else, the same catalogue appears as a clean, price-free showcase.
Why Restrict Pricing to Approved Vendors?
In B2B and wholesale trade, your pricing is one of your most sensitive assets. How This Module Works in Practice

From then on, that site enforces two conditions before showing prices: the visitor must be logged in, and their customer record must be granted vendor access. If a website is not configured as a vendor website, or a logged-in user has not been given vendor access, the product prices and the ‘Add to Cart’ button stay hidden – the catalogue is still fully browsable. Once a customer is approved as a vendor, prices and ordering appear automatically. Because the control is applied per website, you can freely mix a normal public store and a vendor-only store within the same Odoo database.
