What Does This Module Do?
This module automates timesheet creation for project tasks using simple Start and Stop controls. Dedicated Start/Stop buttons are added to the task form, along with a real-time timer that shows how long you’ve been working on the active task. You click Start when you begin work and Stop when you finish or pause, and the module automatically generates an accurate timesheet entry from the elapsed time – capturing both the start and stop times for clear tracking. You can edit the entry’s description manually, or pre-define it using a special field on the task. For convenience the Start/Stop buttons are also available directly on the kanban view, and to keep time logging accurate the module enforces that only one task can be running at a time – you must stop the current task before starting another.

Setup needs no technical knowledge and no configuration – just install it. On a task, click Start to begin working; a live timer shows the running duration. When you’re done or need to pause, click Stop, and a timesheet entry is created automatically from the recorded start and stop times. You can type the entry description yourself or set it in advance via a dedicated field on the task. The same Start/Stop controls sit on the kanban view, so you can time a task without opening it. If you try to start a second task while one is already running, the module asks you to stop the current one first – keeping every entry clean and correctly attributed.
