What is a Cascading Discount?
A cascading discount – often called ‘discount on discount’ – is when more than one discount is applied one after another, each calculated on the amount left after the previous one, rather than all added together on the original price. For example, ‘10+5+2’ means a 10% discount first, then 5% on the reduced figure, then a further 2% on that. This is extremely common in wholesale, distribution, and trade pricing, but Odoo out of the box only supports a single discount per line. This module adds the missing capability, letting you enter multiple discounts in one field on both sales and invoices and having Odoo apply them in sequence, exactly the way your pricing works.
