Customer & Sales Records Access Management – Give Each Salesperson Only Their Customers

In a large organisation you can’t let every salesperson see every customer – especially a new hire. Standard Odoo, though, has no way to share only selected customers. This module fixes that: assign customers to specific salespeople and they see just those customers and all of that customer’s sale orders – nothing more. It keeps your customer base controlled while giving each rep the full history they need to serve their accounts well.


What Does This Module Do?

This module adds selective customer access for your sales team. You assign a salesperson – and any additional salespeople – to a customer, and those users then get access to that customer along with all of the customer’s sale orders. Reps who are restricted to seeing only their own documents will see just the customers assigned to them, rather than the entire company database. If a customer has no salesperson assigned, that customer stays visible to everyone, so nothing falls through the cracks. It’s a targeted way to control who sees which customers, which standard Odoo doesn’t offer out of the box.

Why Do You Need It?

When every salesperson can see the whole customer list, sensitive relationships and account data are exposed far more widely than they should be – a real concern with new or junior staff, or in competitive sales teams. Default Odoo only lets you restrict a user to their own documents; it can’t share a specific subset of customers with a specific rep.
